Guiding & Staffing Standards
Licensed Guides & Porters: Certified by the Rinjani National Park Authority (TNGR) with valid licenses and official registration.
Guide-to-Trekker Ratio: Minimum 1 certified guide for every 4–5 trekkers to ensure close supervision and control on steep paths.
Medical Certification: Guides and key staff trained in First Aid, CPR, and Mountain Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) identification/management.
Equipment & Gear Standards
Camping Gear: High-quality, double-layer, waterproof, and windproof 4-season tents designed for alpine environments.
Sleeping Setup: Clean, thick sleeping pads/mats and rated sleeping bags suited for temperatures dropping to 0^∘ “C”-5^∘ “C” .
Illumination & Trekking Aids: Headlamps or flashlights provided for night summit pushes, alongside optional trekking poles for stability.
Catering Hygiene: Hygienic cooking gear, purified/boiled drinking water, and safe food storage to prevent gastrointestinal illness.
Emergency & First Aid Response
Comprehensive First Aid Kits: Fully stocked kits including bandages, antiseptics, thermal blankets, pain relief, burn treatments, and oxygen bottles.
Communication Equipment: Satellite phones, two-way radios, or active local SIM devices capable of reaching emergency services from dead-zones.
Evacuation Protocol: Established SOPs for mountain rescue, porter stretchers (tandu), and direct coordination with local Search and Rescue (SAR Lombok).
